My Story About Me
I’m an IT professional with almost 30 years of experience working with computers and related technology. I was introduced to computers in third grade as part of the Open Doors program. While in this program we learned to install and run software using Dos and write simple computer programs in Basic. Around this same time my father was letting me experiment with hardware at home, by building and modifying his computers. This built my foundation and sparked a love for technology.
As the internet developed from bulletin board systems to America Online and eventually the dot com boom, I began creating profile pages and basic websites for myself and friends. This also led to more and more graphic design experience working on promotional materials for local artists and musicians.
Later, between 2000 and 2001, I was able to gain experience working as a video editor on projects for major recording artists in Hollywood while also continuing to work in graphic design. During this time I also began creating basic e-commerce sites.
For the next few years I had some non-technical business and finance related positions but I always continued to do web and graphic design. I also had some sporadic work doing computer repair and upgrades.
This continued interest in technology eventually led me to pursue a related degree. In 2009 I earned a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems with an emphasis in Information Security. This not only gave me more front-end development experience but also allowed me to focus more on the back-end side of development to become a more well rounded full-stack developer.
After graduating I did an internship with the UN World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in Geneva Switzerland and helped implement their new web content management system. This provided good experience working in an international organization and multicultural environment. While there, I also submitted research about the emerging field of search engine optimization (SEO).
After completing the internship, I had various technology related to Desktop Support and Biometrics. While in my free time, I continued to work as a web developer and gain experience in SEO and internet marketing.
In recent years I have been working as an independent full stack developer specializing in web design, graphic design and SEO services. As time permits, I also continue to offer other computer related services such as virus removal, computer upgrades and technical support.
I created this site to bring everything together into one place by advertising my services, sharing opportunities and offering unique products related to technology.
