At the time the Meshiha was born there were 3 sects of Israelites in Jerusalem. The Pharisees, the Saducees, and the Essenes. The Pharisees were in power and had created and were creating Talmudic law. The Saducees believed only in the Torah. They believed in God through Moses. The Essenes separated themselves from the other two sects because they believed the priesthood, leadership and worship were corrupted. The Meshiha came from the Essenes. After the Meshiha ascended into heaven there was a period of extreme turmoil and war in and around Jerusalem. The Essenes disappear from history within 70 years. The Essenes are known to have lived a more Nomadic or Bedouin lifestyle as Israel was known to do before the first city or temple. After the destruction of the temple we don’t know where they scattered but there are some clues to their influence. Through the multiple battles in the land there emerges a people who believed in Jesus as the Messiah but were not aligned with Christians. Centuries later we see that people have knowledge of and belief in the Bible but dislike the adoption of pagan customs by Christians and do not respect the Pharisaic Judaism that is being practiced which did not align with the Torah.
It seems the Essenes were scattered among the Arabs(Ishmaelites) and were an early influence of Islam especially since none of the prophets are Arabs. The Dead Sea scrolls being found by Muslim Arabs further validates this presence and influence. We see the style of dress remains similar to early depictions of Jesus and Mary. Modesty is emphasized and there is the continuation and and emphasis on the belief in one God with a form of piety. Many other things are abandoned but there are also many commonalities and we see that Jews were still present through the various wars.In this environment of constant upheaval, a war Lord named Mohammed emerges who was convinced that he was a prophet, and he slowly began to seek his own aggrandizement. Though he honors the Meshiha in one sense he also diminishes him and his message and elevates himself. A new name in a different language (Arabic) begins to be used for YHWH and Yahshua …Allah and Isa. The Quran revered and mirrored parts of the “previous scriptures” and says the Quran should be confirmed by them. However, it contradicts and rejects the most important overall message of salvation. The Old Testament ideas of purging the land of Idolaters was revamped. New ideas about a paradise with carnal rewards emerged and the fruit of the life of the “Prophet” who contradicts the Messiah shows he is unrighteous in many ways. Many things Mohammed promoted and did according to the Quran and the Hadiths are condemned by the scriptures, but his most fanatical followers will say they were good just because Mohammed did them.
The sins of the early Christians and the stiff-neckedness of the Jews became a stumbling stone to those in Judea. The separatist viewpoints of the Essenes evolved to contempt of Jews and Christians and treating them as lower class citizens than those that followed this new warlord. The religion is forced on people through terror. In the process of purging Mecca of idolaters Islam ends up falling into Idolatry itself with the adoption of the Kaaba and Crescent moon as a focal point for worship and the symbol for this new religion.Muslims, as they begin to be known, make continuous raids to kill or force people to submit to their ideology. Questioning the religion or the authority of Mohammed has severe consequences up to and including execution and the religion grows rapidly through intimidation. Violence, deception, and martyrdom in the name of spreading Islam are held up as the highest ideals. As more countries and people are converted or eliminated, Islam requires higher levels of blind devotion and punishments get more severe for even minor infractions.
This has continued to modern times. The violence and intimidation tactics have only widened. However, with more availability to information and the ability to do private research, large numbers of Muslims are leaving Islam and coming out of its deception (Taquiyya). As time goes on there will be a bigger divide between those that truly seek to follow God and those that use religion as a vehicle for familial, social, and governmental control. Salvation is a gift while the deception of Islam is a curse. Though piety and modesty were copied from the true scriptures, Islam condemns, distorts, and undermines the Word of God and leads people away from salvation. Islam can only exist in an environment of deception and intimidation. The life of Mohammed cannot compare to the life of the perfect representation of God in Man, The Word of God, The Messiah. Think clearly who you should follow. As people gain more courage to seek for themselves and stand up to the oppression of Islam, Islam will continue to lose people and be divided. The extremists will get more extreme as the others pull further away and leave Islam. The line between good and evil will be ever more apparent until that final day of judgment. -
