I wrote the political stuff so easily but to dive into relationships has me vexed. To find someone who demonstrates the fruits of the spirit is rare. To break all the soul ties from people in the past is rare. To see someone as an extension of yourself and put them even before family and friends is rare. To inspire and encourage without criticizing is rare. To accept and fulfill your roles and responsibilities in the relationship is rare. To be able to deal with each other’s imperfections and be able to forgive and be forgiven without taking it for granted is rare. To be a healer of each other’s trauma without letting trauma be the bond is rare. To find someone you can trust to be the same in and out of your sight is rare. To find someone who will always be there is rare…This is when a relationship becomes a marriage and a commitment becomes a vow. It’s easy to “vibe” but this level of spiritual connection is divine. No one can earn it. This is a blessing that can only come from God. Be led by the spirit and leave it in God’s hands… Talking to myself and whoever is listening.
